Women in the public eye have always inspired others with their outfits and iconic eyewear. Here are three styles worn by three of the world’s most recognisable women: Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly and Queen Elizabeth II. All three had an impeccable sense of style and a signature look. They knew what suited them so their style became their signature. To quote Coco Chanel: “Fashion changes but style endures.”
Audrey Hepburn
The *Manhattan by Oliver Goldsmith is an exact replica of the sunglasses Goldsmith designed for Audrey Hepburn when she played Holly Golightly in the 1961 film, Breakfast at Tiffanys. This style looks as current today as it did more than sixty years ago. A truly iconic eyewear.

I borrowed Manhattan for an Instagram Reel I created for Optometry Today. It’s a beautiful piece of eyewear in a classic, timeless style that will work with everything in one’s wardrobe. Just knowing that it was the style that Audrey wore made me feel glamorous.
Queen Elizabeth II
Referring to out late majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this optical style, Elizabeth by Francois Pinton recalls the frame worn by the Queen in the 70s and 80s.

Grace Kelly
This modern take on a vintage cat-eye style, *Athena by Aspinal of London is reminiscent of one Grace Kelly wore in the famous beach scene in To Catch a Thief.
