Strutkur Eyewear: Winner Unisex Frame of the Year, Love Eyewear Awards 2022
A year ago, I’d never heard of the Normandy eyewear brand Strutkur. They officially launched in the UK at 100% Optical in April 2022 and is one of the newest additions to the MAC Eyewear portfolio. I immediately fell in love with the vibrant, geometrical frames which manage to be simultaneously daring and wearable. And I wasn’t the only one to be impressed. The Singer scooped the award for the Best Unisex Frame at the 2022 Love Eyewear Awards. I’m wearing it here in the Litchi Mat colour way.

This year, Strutkur eyewear has been shortlisted in three categories in the 2023 Love Eyewear Awards.
Shortlisted For Women’s Frame of the Year
The Director Light is a finalist in the Women’s Frame of The Year category. It is made of perforated metal which is very light to wear. It is available in four colour ways, each a combination of two striking colours. The bright colour across the top of the frame brightens the wearer’s eyes. This style is lively and perfect for those who wish to turn heads.
Shortlisted For Men’s Frame of The Year
In the men’s category, The Paris Light is a finalist. Like The Director Light, it is composed of perforated titanium for the perfect combination of comfort and aesthetics. It’s a daring take on a classic style, guaranteed to get second glances.
Although Paris Light is technically a gents frame, I think it could quite easily be worn by women too, as demonstrated by my good self. This is the Purple Carrot colour way.

Shortlisted For Unisex Frame of the Year
Strutkur also has a frame in the Unisex Frame of The Year category. Can they make it two in a row? The Artist offers a strong, contemporary look equally flattering to both men and women.
Love Eyewear Awards 2023
The Love Eyewear Awards Ceremony 2023 will take place at 100% Optical on 25th February. I won’t be there this year but I’ll be keeping everything crossed that Strutkur Eyewear enjoys as much success as it did last year.
Please contact MAC Eyewear if you are a UK or Irish independent optician and would like to learn more.
If you love Strutkur Eyewear, or indeed any bright eyewear, as much as I do, take a look at this blog post in which I used colour theory to style four different styles.
