If I’m eating out, I want to feel dressed up. This can be difficult though if the meal immediately follows a walk on an English beach at the end of December. Enter my winter beach-to-bar outfit. It’s what I wore the day before yesterday for a walk on Tynemouth Longsands, followed by a late lunch/early dinner in Tynemouth with Ian and his extended family.
Comfort and warmth were key to this look so I wore these *check ponte wide-leg trousers from Me+Em (currently half price) with black thermal tights underneath. These trousers are super comfortable (they’re a pair of posh joggers really), and warm enough to wear on a cold beach yet smart enough to wear to lunch. I teamed it with a *black ponte twist top from Boden, also currently half-price.
I’ve worn these white leather Chelsea boots on repeat since getting them. (Gift from Hush Puppies). The water-resistant leather means I don’t need to worry about seawater splashes.
I’d forgotten how much I love my snowflake necklace. I bought it in New York about 12 years ago. These snowflake earrings compliment it beautifully- they are a current style from Pandora. My bracelet and charms are also from Pandora- some old (and retired) and some new.
And finally, my gorgeous pink quilted handbag, a surprise Christmas gift from my equally gorgeous husband. I adore it.
We took these photos in Ian’s garden before we set off to the beach.
I’m growing my fringe out so I’ve bought some pretty clips to keep it out of the way.

The next set of photos were taken on the beach. It started to spit so we took shelter. This led to the most stunning double rainbow I have ever seen.
