Green Self Portrait Chiffon Midi Dress

After I said I wasn’t going to buy anything other than the Boden firework dress and my green glitter platforms, I was lured in by the Self Portrait sale. Self Portrait is among my favourite labels and I have quite a few dresses from there, all sale purchases.

Since I bought my Russell and Bromley green glitter sandals, I’ve been drawn to everything green. I immediately fell for this Self Portrait chiffon midi dress with the beautiful diamante and pearl buttons and detachable belt.

I wore it for the first time last night for our annual girls’ Secret Santa night. The night is one of the highlights of my year and one I look forward for months. It’s the perfect opportunity to dress up, catch up and to laugh. Once again my lovely friend Annemarie hosted it. If all goes ahead with our house move, I’ll offer to take the baton next year.

Christmas Accessories

I didn’t want to detract from the very snowflake-like buttons with a statement necklace, but I felt I needed something around my neck. I got this Swarovski crystal snowflake pendant from New York more than a decade ago in what feels like a previous life. It’s perfect with the dress.I was restrained with the earrings too- a simple *glitter ball stud.

I wore my silver Pandora bracelet for the first time in a long while. I’ve been collaborating with Pandora on a gifting basis of late and have been building a rose gold collection. I tend to go for yellow and rose gold now rather than silver, hence me not wearing it for a while. It brought back a lot of memories and I’d forgotten ho many Christmas charms I have- presents from my parents in years gone by.

And because it’s Christmas, I wore my snowflake hair band. I’m growing my fringe out so it helped keep the longer bits out of the way too.

This green Self Portrait chiffon midi dress is not just for Christmas though. It’ll will be perfect for several things we have in the diary next year and the same goes for my Russell and Bromley green glitter platform sandals.
