The Boden Embroidered Cardigan
If you’ve followed me for any length of time you’ll know that I’m a longstanding Boden fan. Barely a season has gone by over the last ten or so years, in which I haven’t bought anything. This season though, I could have bought more than ever before. I don’t know if they have new designers in the team but there seems to have been a subtle shift towards slightly more on-trend pieces. The photography and marketing seems different too. The location/lifestyle content in particular, is beautiful. (And this isn’t a sponsored post- big sad- and nor was anything gifted- bigger sad). This is jut me waxing lyrical about the Boden embroidered cardigan and a few other pieces.
Buying a cardigan was not my intention, but when I saw this one, I couldn’t resist. The embroidery is exquisite- it was the leopard that initially caught my eye, followed closely by the array of gorgeous colours in it. The latter means it goes with so many of my clothes from dresses to blue straight leg jeans to my wide leg ivory jeans. I took it with me to 100% Optical last weekend and wore it with my red jacquard tiered dress and then later with the aforementioned ivory jeans, see below.
The cardigan fits true to size and is machine washable.
Boden broderie v-neck tee
I have very few tees in my wardrobe because generally speaking I prefer to wear a shirt or blouse with jeans. However, I’m so pleased with my ivory wide-legged jeans that I wanted some more tops to wear with them. I’m obsessed with pink and green this season so I ordered this broderie v-neck tee in both colours.
They have a slight slubby texture which I like and we all know I adore broderie, so the shoulder detail makes me very happy indeed. They wash and iron beautifully and fit true to size. (I’m size 12 and wearing a medium). This style is available in several other colours too.
Boden beaded statement earrings
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve worn these Boden beaded earrings They’re lightweight, comfortable and they go with so many outfits. I’ve said before that I’m tempted to get the monstera leaf too. And the lemons…
Boden pineapple dress
I am including my pineapple dress too because it’s one of my new favourites. I have already done a standalone outfit post which includes important info on sizing and a lot more photos.
I’ve got my eye on a few holiday pieces, (we’re off to Spain in June) so watch this space.
Lime and lemon accessories
These aren’t from Boden but they’re ticking every box for this season’s zesty colour trends. I only got this mustard yellow bag a few weeks ago and I have already worn it countless times. It was a very kind gift from Apatchy London and I have a discount code for you. Use Lizzy15 and get 15% off site wide. You can see more details of the bag in this Instagram Reel. It comes in an array of other colours too including metallics and neutrals. I’m hoping they’ll make a lime green one.
Mr beautiful ring and necklace are gifts from Ian. Not a day goes by when I don’t stop to think how fortunate I am to have met and married him. And not just because he buys such gorgeous jewellery for me.
I’m going to round off this post with a closer look at this stunning eyewear from Outspoken. I wore it with a green dress at 100% Optical and I lost count of how many people asked about it. I absolutely adore the flash of aqua at the side and the flattering upswept silhouette. It is very light and comfortable and is at an excellent price point too. It’s among my all time favourite eyewear.
