I am brand ambassador for MAC Eyewear
Red jacquard tiered dress
I bought this dress primarily to wear at 100% Optical later this month where I’ll be on the MAC Eyewear stand for much of the weekend. They’re all about vibrant styles, so I decided that I needed an equally vibrant selection of outfits. You can see one of the pieces of eyewear I’ve chosen below. However, last weekend, Ian and I went out for dinner to Le Caveau so I decided to wear the same outfit for that first. This red jacquard tiered dress is very similar to the cobalt blue jacquard tiered dress I wore for Poppy’s 21st birthday party. The fabric is slightly less weighty than that of the cobalt, but the style is identical. The same midaxi length, the same tiers and the same flattering waistline with pockets and self-fabric belt.

Jacquard is very on-trend this season and I was spoiled for choice really (which is why I ended up buying two!). Unlike a winter-weight jacquard, spring’s version is much less bulky and offers a light texture rather than one which can sometimes overpower the wearer.
Handmade eyewear with natural elements
How about this for head-turning eyewear? Oversized and square-ish, it makes a real statement. The front is “set” with feathers and silk and every piece of Coco Song eyewear is handmade so no two frames will ever be the same.

This style is called Last Tango and it’s a limited edition. I’ve had it glazed with my varifocal prescription and it’s already one of my all time favourites. There are two other colourways, both of which are a little more reserved, but just as covetable.

The turquoise on the sides of my frame is quite an unexpected juxtaposition with the red.
I think it’s a stunning combination, so much so, I chose my shoes to co-ordinate.
The Kat Maconie Cara
My shoes are just as head-turning as the red jacquard tiered dress and the Coco Song eyewear. . They’re another addition from Kat Maconie, to whom I look to for something unusual. Unsurprisingly, it was not only the beautiful shade of lagoon that caught my eye, but the gold chain heel. I now have three pairs of Kat Maconies, all of which are like works of art and which are beautifully crafted. They are so comfortable too. I know that my feet won’t suffer when I’m on them for 10 hours at 100% Optical.
Tasting Menu at Le Caveau, Skipton
I couldn’t write this post without sharing a few of the dishes from the tasting menu with wine flight. Truly, if you are ever in the Skipton area, you absolutely must eat at Le Caveau.
