Style and substance
I will never tire of wearing heels but sometimes comfort and practicality are foremost in my mind. Sneakers, trainers, call them what you will, have a very definite place in my wardrobe. There are thousands of eye-catching styles which will work as well with a ruffled maxi dress as they will with jeans. I can see the appeal of white, but for me, a metallic leather will win every single time. Here are three styles that you’ll love.
Metallic leather sneakers: investment
I treated myself to these gorgeous silver and gold leather sneakers, Esplanade, from Russell and Bromley. They are an investment for sure, but I love them and will reserve them for when I’m going out or doing something special. They fit true to size, are beautifully made and very, very comfortable.

Metallic leather sneakers: two affordable styles
These two styles are perfect for so many things- walking to work, doing the food shop and also for the weekends on the beach when we’re up in the North East. The first pair is the Simone in nude and rose gold from the Lotus’s Stressless range. Full disclosure: I do work with Lotus on a paid basis a few times per year and these were gifted to me as part of that work. However, I have bought, at least two pairs myself because they are so comfortable. I think these rose gold and nude sneakers are my fifth pair from the Stressless range. I wore the previous four pairs so much, they wore out.
The third and final metallic leather sneaker is the Reydon by Van Dal. These are a PR sample from the brand. They come in a few other colours too but I really liked the silver. There are times when silver works better than the warmer metallics. The style is more “trainer-like” if that makes any sense. They’re a bit chunkier than the Lotus style. Again, they’re very comfortable and I know I’ll wear them over and over.

I’m always drawn to metallics, but I have yet to buy any metallic trainers. I must remedy that situation because they look absolutely GORGEOUS!
