My Emporio Sirenuse Embroidered Maxi Dress
About a month ago, I wrote a blog post about two designer dresses I bought in the Net-A-Porter sale. I promised I would let you know how I got on with them. The first is a dress by Ulla Johnson that I will almost certainly wear for Poppy’s graduation ceremony in Durham Cathedral in June. This Emporio Sirenuse embroidered maxi dress is the second.
It’s the first time I have bought anything from this designer, who specialises in light, resort pieces with ornate patterns inspired by European and Far Eastern artwork. The star of this dress is the exquisite blue embroidery.

It’s slightly too wide across the chest/underarm area as you can see in the photos, so I might get it taken in, (or buy a padded strapless bra). However, the gaping is much less obvious when I move, so I’ll think about it. I’m definitely going to keep it though.

This dress is a “forever” summer piece and I’m already looking forward to wearing it when we’re on holiday in Spain later this year.
