Tan Knee Boots To Wear From Now Through Spring.
I don’t think many of us can wait for spring proper, when we can go outside without heavy coats, scarves and gloves, but we still get frosty mornings as late as May, so how can we can we dress so that we feel more spring-like without freezing? Layers are the obvious answer of course, wearing a long-sleeved tee under a dress for example, or wearing a knitted tank over a shirt. A less obvious suggestion maybe is a pair of knee boots, specifically, tan knee boots. They look much less wintry than black boots, they’re a more versatile neutral and they work throughout the year apart from midsummer.
Tan knee boots work with midi and maxi length dresses, (with socks, tights or leggings if needed), and with shorter lengths with tights or bare legs for the brave. The work very under flared or wide-leg trousers/jeans and over skinny jeans or leggings and there isn’t a colour that tan doesn’t go with. In a nutshell, they’re a smart investment.
Here are a selection that have caught my eye. I have put some styling ideas further down in the post.

And here I am wearing my Lotus Mercy boots. This one is a late autumn to early spring boot because it is lined with the most sumptuous faux fur, but it gives you an idea how a flat tan boot looks with a floral spring dress.
Have a super weekend.

These boots are a great find. I love how you styled them.
I’m a male long boot wearer. I also have a few pairs of tan boots. I love to wear mine with dark blue jeans. I often get comments from women usually saying how nice I look.
