Hello and happy, happy new year! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the year ahead. If we have learned one thing, it is that we cannot predict what might happen. All I hope for this year is to stay healthy and to see more of my family and friends.
We had a brilliant Christmas and a beautifully relaxing few days at our home on the North-East coast, more of which in a future blog post. For now, this is what I wore on Christmas Day and is it not the most perfect Christmas day dress? In my mind red velvet is synonymous with Christmas and this divine Victoriana-inspired midi dress is just sublime. It’s from Kitri, a small independent brand I’ve followed on Instagram for some time. I love the bracelet-length sleeves, puff shoulder and fabric belt.
You can now shop my other looks, plus similar alternatives over on my Like To Know platform (which uses affiliate links).
I think it looks lovely with my Boden tartan kitten heels with their festive velvet bow. The style will work just as well with chunky ankle boots or knee length boots, either flat or heeled.
Notes
Red velvet midi dress: Luna by Kitri.
Gold bracelet: My 21st birthday gift from my parents.
Black dotty sheer tights: Marks and Spencer.
Tartan kitten heels with velvet bow: Boden, past season.
Have a look this blog post which features the perfect Christmas top. If you love red velvet as much as I do, take a look at my red velvet trouser suit which I wore a few weeks ago.

Happy New Year, Lizzy!!
You look absolutely gorgeous in red, and I agree that is the most perfect dress for Christmas Day. I love it with those pretty little kitten heels, and I bet it’d look fab with some chunky boots too!
