You’d be correct in thinking that I have an obsession with white dresses. And why not? It’s the final few weeks before our wedding and I want to make the most of every opportunity to dress like a bride-to-be. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at this white broderie maxi dress- the second of my hen party outfit options. (You can see the first option in this blog post). The party is on 26th June and I’m expecting the great British weather to step up so we’ll have a glorious, golden midsummer evening complete with a blazing sunset.
White broderie maxi
This tiered broderie anglaise maxi dress is beautifully romantic. The black straps and tie back are style details which elevate it into being a day-to-evening dress, rather than just a day dress. I’m wearing a strapless bra with a transparent back which works very well.

The dress is from Chi Chi London. It fits true to size, and, for reference, I’m 5 ft 9, 175cm tall.
Self-Portrait shoes
My shoes are the Eliza by one of my favourite premium brands, Self-Portrait. I bought them in the sale last year sometime and put them away for this spring summer, so this is their first wear. I love them, but the leather is quite hard. My hen party is a cocktail cruise on a canal boat though, so I won’t be walking far, although I suspect there may be dancing. It’ll be interesting to see if they soften over time.
The Perfect Pair
What is the perfect piece of eyewear to compliment this beautiful white broderie maxi dress? I didn’t want to introduce any additional colour to this look, so added this black and white sun style which I got from Karen Millen two years ago. It has a strong silhouette and adds strength and glamour to this look.

Love the whole outfit, Lizzy, and those glasses are fab. It just goes to show that some things never go out of style!
Thank you so much and yes, absolutely. It’s lovely to have classic pieces that don’t date xxx
