Do you know when you fall in love with a brand? Well I’m head over heels about Kat Maconie. This is the second pair I have invested in this season, the first being the divine Dia which you can see here. Essentially the silhouette is the same, a leather-lined foot-bed and the signature framed 5mm kitten heel. However, where the Dia mules are a subtle neutral colour, the Kat Maconie Esta sandals are anything but.
These sandals are a riot of colour, a carnival for the feet. I adore the lighthearted wavy fabric and the unexpected combination of colours. After all, it is hard to imagine how yellow, mint green, orange, pink and blue could possibly work together. But they do. Beautifully.
So what to wear them with. Cropped jeans, mom jeans, cigarette pants, Mini, midi and maxi dresses. And denim shorts if you’re brave or young enough. I’m neither but I’ll be wearing them with everything else imaginable.
The distinctive kitten heel makes for a very stable shoe. The pink ankle strap keeps them in place perfectly and the slightly padded lining feels divine underfoot. I think that’s what I like about Kat Maconie footwear. The shoes are immediately recognisable by their maximalist details, dazzling colour palette and architectural heels. But, they are so, so comfortable and very easy to wear. I adore them.
