Do you remember the post in which I had an eyewear try-on in the Pantone colours of the year, Illuminating (yellow) and Ultimate Gray? In it I said that a great way to embrace any colour is with accessories. The same is true for any print or trend. So while top-to-toe yellow isn’t a look I’d choose, my yellow handmade wooden bag adds a pop of colour and a gives a nod to 2021’s optimistic colour trends.
This whole is full of optimism. It makes me feel light-hearted and frivolous and puts me in a mood for holidays and sunshine. And how can I not feel uplifted by the fabulous safari print? This is an easy to wear wrap dress, perfect for spring and summer alike and one I can see myself wearing from breakfast to beach on holiday. Wrap dresses are always an excellent option for wearing over a bikini.
I’ve had my shoes for at least a decade. I have A LOT of shoes, but not many “designer” pairs. These are by Mulberry and have the iconic postman’s lock.
And every time I wear them, I comment on just how “neutral” they are. And by that, I mean that they go with a surprising number of colours, styles and outfits. Here, they pick out the glorious colours in the dress and go very nicely with the wooden bag. I enjoy wearing them as much now as I did when they were brand new, and despite the height of the heel, they’re incredibly comfortable. They epitomise investment dressing.
And I think you’ll agree that my Karioko handmade earrings in golden zebra are the perfect finishing touch to this outfit.

Thank you Nancy. Yes- I love the shoes. They’ve turned out to be a brilliant investment xxx
I’m a big fan of the wrap dress too Liz. Actually I was looking at my favourite, yesterday thinking why not put a turtle neck underneath? It’s been so long since I wore it, I’m having withdrawals, if you know what I mean?
I know EXACTLY what you mean Michelle! xxx
