Today marks the start of week nine of Coronavirus lockdown here in the UK. To those of you who are homeschooling, it’s almost half-term! I appreciate how much easier it is to have children the same age as mine. Poppy has been doing uni work and online exams, while Harry has been doing a mix of video-classes, self-teaching and past A-level questions, (he’ll sit his A-levels a year from now). They’re self-motivated and need no input from me.
I mentioned on Friday that Ian and I were heading away for a short time. He needed to collect some work kit to enable him to continue working from home. The change of scene felt like a holiday and I know Poppy in particular appreciated the house being quieter for her revision. It was so good knowing that the travel, for him at least, was essential and therefore, guilt-free. For me, it was permitted because we did our daily exercise when we were there. (We are of course, now allowed to drive to our chosen place of exercise).
Crossbody iPhone case
No matter where we walk to though, I always take my phone and I have a fabulous leather crossbody iPhone case that I’d like to show you. It’s the “Victoria” by Vaultskin, a young London brand. It combines the case with a wallet, so keeps iPhone, cards, cash, and other small items together and secure. The two pockets will fit up to nine cards. It comes in a choice of five colours with either a full leather strap or with a chain, like mine. It is beautiful quality and very stylish.
It’s great when I spot something to photograph when we’re out walking, because it saves me getting the phone in and out of my pocket or bag. It’s particularly practical when doing the supermarket shop too. It means I can refer to my shopping list on the phone, without either having to hold it the whole time, or keep putting it in and out of my bag. It makes everything a whole lot quicker which is what we need when food shopping.
Of course, it’ll come into its own on nights out, when travelling and also on the beach, whenever that may be. I think it’s excellent and I’m delighted with mine.
