Now that it’s permissible to spend longer outdoors and to travel further to take exercise, Ian and I are heading out tomorrow. Although he’s still able to work from the home office here, he needs to collect some kit to enable him to continue doing so. So, he’s going to call into his place of work to do this. While we’re there though, we’re going to have a long walk. The government guidelines say that we can have a picnic or sunbathe. As tempting as that sounds, I don’t think we’ll go that far, but knowing we can spend time in another town while adhering to the latest government guidelines is, quite frankly, marvellous.
I adore spending time with my children, but I cannot lie. Four of us at home has been tough at times. There isn’t much space and tensions have, on occasions, run high. Something I know is not unusual at this time. Poppy has got online university exams coming up, so she’s grateful for some quiet to revise and gather her notes together. I think Harry will be glad of a bit of space too. Just a short time apart will make a difference.
I can’t believe how excited I am today. So much so that I’ve put a frock on. I last wore this when I was in Amsterdam last October when I teamed it with tights and ankle boots. I remember thinking it would be a good dress for spring with trainers or sandals. And it is. (It’s still available on the Boden website in the clearance section in some sizes). It’s a very flattering shape and I love the hanky hem.

I have a blog post scheduled for Sunday morning about my online search for my wedding shoes. And I’ll be back next week with more lockdown diaries. Until then, have a lovely weekend and stay safe x
