Happy Friday! Day eleven of Coronavirus lockdown. I hope everyone is doing ok. I guess a lot of us won’t have the usual Friday feeling but here’s to the weekend anyway.
I’m still very much thinking about interiors and decorating my house. In fact, since yesterday’s post I’ve ordered wallpaper to do a feature wall in the living room and some paint tester pots for the other three walls. I also ordered some tester pots for my bedroom. The usual DIY websites such as B&Q and Wicks are either running very low on basic decorating kit or have a queue system to even access the website, so Ian suggested Tool Station. I just assumed it sold tools and screws but it has an excellent range of paintbrushes, rollers and everything else one would require for home decorating. You can either Click and Collect, (while adhering to social distancing guidelines), or have the items delivered. I opted for the former. Never in my whole life have I been as excited about (a) going on a five minute car journey and (b) paint stirrers. It’s brilliant. I ordered online and got a text less than 15 minutes later to say it was ready for collection.
I mentioned this Happy sweatshirt the other day when I was wearing my “Working from Home” one. It’s from Pickle London, an independent brand which donates £5 from every sale to Mind Charity. It’s part of the casual uniform I wear either after work or when I’m working from home. This style has sold out but there are plenty of others, a lot of which feature rainbows. This seems very appropriate right now, as we see an abundance of them everywhere in support of our NHS and key workers.
All this reminded me of the fabulous rainbow wedge sandals that I bought last year. I love them. They draw compliments every time I wear them; I do hope I’ll get to wear them again this summer.
Stay safe and have a lovely evening.
