Spring and pastels go hand-in-hand, but 2020 brings new, slightly unexpected colour combinations that are as fresh as a daisy. Even though the temperatures are still very much in a winter mindset, there’s a definite hint of spring in the air. The evenings are getting lighter and bold, brazen daffodils are peeking through frosty ground to brighten even the greyest of days.
Wearing pastels can make one instantly feel more springlike. Team them with winter woollens and layers for a transitional look. And for an instant wardrobe refresh, add pastel accessories, nail polish or eyewear. It can be difficult to make pastels look womanly. Head-to-toe works well as does mixing them with an animal print or a metallic. Khaki and charcoal look stunning with pastels of every colour and shade.
Feb31st offers soft curves in an array of sweet, feminine colours. Blossom pinks and soft pastels epitomise the season and are gentle, unassuming and infinitely wearable.
The Thoko by ethical brand Pala offers relaxed lines and rounded angles for easy wear whatever the season. This transparent mellow yellow eyewear has a G-15 green sunglass lens.
The Luini by Götti Switzerland has delicate lines which whisper elegance. The unexpected combination of lilac and gold makes for a stunning piece of eyewear. And as an aside, wouldn’t this Ulla Johnson gown make a stunning and unusual wedding dress? (With a lining to make it appropriate of course!)

I am not a big fan of pastel shades but the lilac pair by Feb 31st look interesting.
Hi Lorna, I like some pastel shades but not all. The Feb 31st designs are gorgeous. All are bespoke and made with sustainable wood xxx
These are so pretty; I love how you’ve showcased them next to clothes! The Pala ones are my faves! xx
Oh my these pastels frames are just stunning, Liz… thank goodness we have you to show us that eyewear does not need to be just thick black frames all the time! I’d happily wear any of those pink Feb31st ones, though if I HAD to choose it would be the third down, the chunky pale pink frames. Beautiful x
