The Pantone colour of the year for 2020 is 19-4052 Classic Blue. This timeless and enduring blue hue is said to instil calm and confidence. It’s a shade that is reminiscent of the sky at dusk, so we perceive it as being restful. It brings a sense of tranquillity and is said to aid concentration. The colour blue is a longstanding favourite throughout the world. Studies as early as 1941 indicated that the most preferred hues were bluish. It’s a predilection that isn’t limited to a particular geography, gender or even political affiliation. Everyone seems to like blue.
