I can honestly say that this May Bank Holiday was the best Bank Holiday I’ve ever had. The combination of glorious sunny weather and the stunning seaside of North Shields meant it was a beautiful day out. Ian’s company meant it was perfect. It’s really very rare that we get a day to ourselves, never mind a day out. Both of my children were revising for school exams so we decided that it really was too good an opportunity to miss. I took the train because I knew we’d have champagne, (and wine. And gin), and headed off early on Bank Holiday Monday morning.
Strapless Floral Jumpsuit
I last wore this strapless floral jumpsuit in Lanzarote last October. Because it’s last season, it’s no longer available. However, there are plenty more playsuits and jumpsuits. Mine is shirred so it’s very comfortable and easy to wear. It’s very lightweight, so is ideal as a beach cover up too.
The photographs were taken in the Fish quay area of North Shields. Ian did a great job as usual. I couldn’t believe my luck when we happened across the huge blue buoys and the fabulous painted wall. A blogger and Instagrammer’s dream!
The yellow espadrilles are also from last year and no longer available but the cute Blue Skies pouch is current. It’s fabulous and is perfect for purse, sunglasses, suncream, lipstick and the usual necessities. I love pouches like this. As well as a standalone clutch bag, I use them within a larger handbag or beach bag to keep the essentials together and in easy reach.
The blue and gold friendship bracelet came with my Tory Birch perfume. The colours are perfect with this and other summer outfits and like the floral jumpsuit, it’s lightweight and therefore very comfortable in the sun. I’m not sure of it’s still available as a gift with purchase, but I’ve linked to the perfume anyway.
I’m not drinking goldfish. It’s rose and violet gin with rose petals and it was divine.
And finally, I think this selfie says it all.
