The glorious weather we had last week has made me think ahead to early August. We have a hotel and beach holiday booked and I’m certain we’ll have wall to wall sunshine. I always look forward to planning my holiday wardrobe and I wrote a holiday packing post last year before I went to Nerja. In it, I said that I aim to pack outfits, rather than individual pieces. That way, I know, in theory at least, that I’ll pack the right amount. For this type of holiday, I have two distinct and requirements. Day wear for breakfast, casual lunch, the pool and the beach, and evening wear for dinner. This year though, I’m more excited than usual and have already got a few bright new pieces for my daytime holiday wardrobe.
Daytime Holiday Wardrobe: Bright Beachwear
A day at the beach needs little more than a bikini, and a beach dress to pop on for breakfast and lunch, a pair of flip flops, a large beach bag and a clutch.
I love a bright, patterned bikini. This one from Fantasie is fabulous. The design is called Margarita Island and I love the tropical leaf print. Each Fantasie design comes in a choice of styles for both top and bottoms. I chose the bandeau scarf tie top and mid-rise briefs.
The beautiful blue and white embroidered kaftan is from Fair Trade brand, Aspiga Beach. It’s made form 100% cotton and has a drawstring neckline. It is also available with red embroidery, which is equally stunning.
The woven coral clutch and multi-coloured shell sandals are also from Aspiga Beach. It’s wonderful website. Do go and look because there is everything one could need for a summer holiday. Many of the items are handmade by artisans in Kenya and every producer gets fair pay for their work. Use discount code LIZZYLOVES for free delivery up until the end of May.
And finally, perfume. This is Bel Azur Eau de Parfum by Tory Burch, perfect for sunny, hazy, lazy days.

Gorgeous pieces Liz … such beautiful, vivid colours and I always like white and chambray. Thanks for encouraging me to dream of a sunny beach on such a wet and chilly day!! Thinking I’ll be wearing boots to go out this evening, not sandals!! 😊 Have a good weekend xx
Rosemary, I wore a faux fur yesterday because it was soooo chilly. I’m so glad we have a holiday booked. Something to really look forward to xxxxx
Gorgeous choices and just what I would choose ! Bright colours make me happy and feel more uplifted. There is something to be said about colour therapy for people who are low in mood. I’m looking forward to my holiday in Spain in June. Need the sun like we all do. Xx
Yes! Bright colours are so uplifting aren’t they. I always go for a brighter palette when I’m looking at holiday clothes. It’s lovely when you know there is a holiday on the near horizon isn’t it! xxx
