I feel like my wardrobe of late could give my gorgeous blogger friend Lisa’s, (The Sequinist), a run for its money in the sequins department. I have a very pleasing number of sparkles in my closet and really do enjoy wearing them, particularly at this time of year, because in my mind anyway, my birthday, which was last weekend, heralds the start of party season. In fact, it was to a birthday supper at my brother and sister-in-law’s home that I wore this outfit on Saturday night. We are very close, yet have struggled of late to find a mutually convenient date to meet, given our, and our children’s incredibly busy schedules, so it was an utter treat to go to his home and to spend some time catching up, relaxing and to enjoy a glass or two of champagne.
My brother and his wife have a beautiful home and a new addition is a “Hobbit House,” a shed of all sheds with a fire on which they regularly barbecue. It felt like an Alpine escape and it was a perfect evening.
The cute little face in the photograph below belongs to my gorgeous nephew who has recently passed his 11+ exam, (for entrance into grammar school), so we felt it was only proper to raise a glass to him and his success.
Love Liz x
