As you know, I like my clothes to work in different ways and for different occasions. The most popular blog post from the last few weeks is the one in which I’m wearing my favourite pieces from the Marks and Spencer autumn collection. Each individual element of that outfit can readily be styled with something else and that’s the benefit of carefully chosen separates. So for last night’s dinner outfit, I wore different trousers. Black wide-legged sailor-style trousers in the aforementioned post, berry coated leggings in this. But what a difference, changing just one aspect makes. I think this is a little edgier than my usual style, but I seem to be drawn in that particular direction right now. It’s funny isn’t it how one goes through style phases.
I was having a discussion about Botox earlier this week with one of my friends. It’s not something I foresee myself having- I find a fringe hides a multitude of sins. Those that know me, know I don’t have any semblance of a poker face, with every feeling and emotion being manifest and ever more apparent on my face, (a fact I’m increasingly aware of as I head towards my 43rd birthday). It made me look more closely at the close-up images we take during the course of a normal blog photoshoot.
And these beauties again. Did I mention I love these strappy leopard print shoes? They are without question, my favourite shoes of the season so far.
Love Liz x
