As a die-hard lover of a basic striped top, I tend to buy several per year in a variety of colourways and wear them at least once a week. We all know I love nothing more than to wear a dress but on those days when I spend most of my time working from home or doing the supermarket shop or running other errands, I want to be able to pull on a top that looks great with jeans, fits well and that can be layered or mixed and matched, without giving it any more thought than that.
This one is from Tulchan, a brand that is relatively new to me, but one that is based just a forty minute drive from where I live and I have more to share about this brand in an upcoming blog post. The top is beautiful quality and is semi-fitted and I was so impressed when I went to the shop, that I got in three different colours. This one is navy and ecru and is a very versatile and I love the fact that it works so well with the raffia clutch I bought on my summer holiday.
As well as dresses, I love heels, but of course, they’re not (always) the most practical option for running around town, (especially on Skipton’s cobbles), so in spring and autumn, I tend to wear brogues or ballerinas. These beautiful ballerinas from Taylor Blake are as comfortable as they are stylish and there is currently £10 off with the code WLL10.
