The last few months have seen me increasingly drawn to the midi length. It’s not an easy length to wear and it has to fall at exactly the right place to avoid sitting at the widest part of the calf, (which if you have muscular calves like I do, is not a flattering look). Nerja has several streets lined with beautiful shops. One or two are a little “touristy” but because it is a relatively unspoiled holiday town, most are filled with an array of clothing, leather goods, shoes and accessories. I had it in my mind before I went that I wanted a white midi dress, a pair of espadrilles and a raffia clutch bag, preferably adorned with pompoms. Imagine my utter joy when I happened across the perfect dress, in the perfect length, followed in the very next shop, by a pair of lace-up tan espadrilles and a raffia clutch (which doesn’t have pompoms, but does have a tassel). And all for just 50 Euros. To add further joy, we found this beautiful blue door (which I’ve shared a few times on Instagram already) which proved to the perfect back-drop for taking outfit photographs.
I mentioned previously that we stayed in a hotel and had both breakfast and dinner there. The evening meals were a combination of a la carte and buffet service, with one meal served al-fresco on the terrace overlooking the beach. The chefs were on hand serving freshly prepared dishes and it was heavenly listening to the waves and watching the sun go down.
