I have a few favourite style eras including the 1920s and the1940s but for me, the romance and glamour of summers by the sea is epitomised by the 1950s, with nautical styles, breton stripes and printed sundresses. I’m thinking Audrey Hepburn in St Tropez.
It was the quirky synchronised swimmers print that appealed to me when I chose this dress, along with the pockets, the buttons, the sweetheart neckline, the voluminous skirt and the rouched shoulder straps. Everything about it really.
I don’t have very many photographs because my son was taking his turn and there were a lot of people walking by. He was on this occasion quite willing to take some, because the chances of him being seen photographing me in public by someone he knew were infinitesimally small, given we were in another country but, he is a young teenager after all, so understandably didn’t want to be there any longer than he had to!

Such a cute pattern! I'm not a big fan of dresses with buttons all the way down but it looks gorgeous on you 🙂
