Back in spring I wrote a post about time-management and self-care, entitled “How to Do It All and Stay Sane”. Among the things I wrote about were the ambitions I have for my blog, one of which was to become a brand ambassador by the end of 2016. Well, I’m thrilled to say that it has happened. I’m the new Blogger Expert for Kaleidoscope. The brand is based in Bradford which isn’t too far from me here in Skipton and after collaborating on a few posts, (including the one in which I’m wearing the navy and white prom dress that you see in all of my profile pictures), they invited me to meet the team and there the plan was hatched.
So what does my role entail? Each month for the next six months I’ll be writing a blog post for the Kaleidoscope style blog about a particular trend or style and wearing something from Kaleidoscope relating to that. I’ll be attending press shows and will be sharing news of new and upcoming collections. You may remember that I attended the AW16 Press Show in May, met the designer, Kirsten Emery and viewed the new collections, which are now available.
This floral print tie neck dress is from the new Coastal Idyll collection. I love the empire-line style and the flared sleeves. The neck tie gives it an extra-feminine touch and the floral print, although bold, is easy to wear because of the soft colour palette. We all know I like a hard-working dress and this is no exception. It’s perfect for a cool summer’s day or evening when teamed with sandals and I envisage it with a tweed blazer and brogues in autumn, with boots, tights and faux fur in winter and with a denim jacket and wedges next spring.

Congrats in Brand Ambassador. I love this dress and the antique floral pattern! Bell sleeves, so romantic!
