My most recent blog posts have been about my holiday in Nerja- in particular about what I wore- and in one of them, I wrote about how useful I found my beach cover-ups and kaftans to be and shared pictures of a yellow lace beach dress. Here are two kaftans that proved to be indispensable for taking me from breakfast to beach to an informal lunch and back through the hotel.
I got both at a greatly reduced price in the Boden sale at the end of last summer once I knew we were having a beach holiday abroad. This time of year is a great time to buy holiday essentials as most retailers enter the final phase of their summer sales. I’ve never been one to wear things for just one season, but I think swimwear and beachwear more than anything can be worn year after year and still look current, especially because most of us will only have a week or two during which we will wear it.
These kaftans are semi-sheer, lightweight, easy to wear and comfortable. The embroidery detail is lovely and the tassels just add something that really appeals. I’m loving tassels and pompoms right now…
