Sometimes, when the days are rather grey, a bright colour can go a long way in making one feel a little more summery. A vibrant nail colour or scarf is sometimes all that’s needed to lift both the spirits and an outfit. Other times, it’s nice to go beyond that and have not just a pop of colour, but a veritable explosion.
This silk dress from Hope is one of the happiest dresses I’ve ever seen. It has just been loaned to me to photograph for my blog, so it’ll be winging it’s way back rather than coming on holiday with me, but wouldn’t it just be perfect for strolling to supper on a hot evening somewhere abroad? The fucshia pink and orange are such an uplifting combination and the pop-on shape makes it perfect for effortless post-beach dressing. That being said, I can think of numerous occasions that this dress would be perfect for in this country- a barbecue, a lunch date, shopping perhaps with a denim jacket or scarf if needed.
As with all Hope clothing it is beautifully cut and I particularly love the dipped hemline. It is one those dresses that would be part of a staple holiday wardrobe year after year. The only slight negative is that it is dry clean only, but that is of course to be expected with this gorgeous Crepe de Chine silk. It does however feel so divine that I’d say it’s probably worth it.
Love Liz x

Thank you Gema. Yes, it's beautifully cut. The dipped hemline is quite subtle but makes such a difference. The fabric is divine too so soft xxx
I really love this dress, wish u had put a white belt on for one pic as when u have ur hands on your waist it gives the impression of a belt and makes it look a bit dressier, aside from that though it really suits you!
Thank you! I know what you mean about a belt but there s quite a lot of fabric in the dress a d I think it would have perhaps looked too bunched up. Strappy sparkly sandals and a glittery clutch would be another way of making it look dressier too. Thank you- I wasn't sure if t works suit me with it being so vibrant and me being so fair so I'm glad it does! xxx
I love this color and silhouette of this look! So easy and breezy, perfect for summer!

Thank you lovely. I love clashing colours too. I'm getting braver as I get older with them! xxx
I agree with Honest Mum … Stunning! This reminds me of an outfit I had many, many years ago for my daughters christening – some 25 years ago! It was pink and orange stripes, two-piece, flared skirt, I loved it. Ahh memories. Lovely blog Hun..x Jacqui

Love the shape & the bright colours – it looks great! #brilliantblogposts
This is my ideal colour pairing in a dress and I must admit if it weren't for the price I'd be ordering it right now. I love your necklace and how it really compliments the simplicity of the shape and style of the dress. You look fab x
