You may recognise this as being the outfit I wore to the Kaleidoscope AW16 press breakfast at the start of last week, although I didn’t show it in great detail, preferring instead to concentrate on the new collections. As with most of my clothes, I like to make the most of wearing them, so I wore it again a few days ago when I went to my friend Sally’s for a few glasses of wine.
I am very fond of strong bright colours- red, orange, cobalt, but this season, the softer shades have really appealed. Blush pink, peach and nudes have increasingly made their way into my wardrobe (and onto my Instagram account!). Being so fair, it would be easy to look a little insipid, so I try to add some depth and colour with strong accessories. The black on the colour block shoes along with the leopard print bag and leopard print wrap bracelet add pattern and interest.
Without doubt, my current favourite metallic is rose gold and it compliments pinks, bronzes and creams beautifully. These vintage-inspired statement earrings are among the prettiest I’ve ever seen and are one of three pieces of jewellery I have from Swedish brand Lily and Rose, (who offer free UK shipping).
The diamante leopard print wrap bracelet is from Lizzy O and is also available in a white “snow leopard” version.
I love the detail down the side of the trousers. It adds to the style and makes them that little bit smarter.
Have a lovely day and I hope the sun shines,
Love Liz x

Gorgeous! I love the sparkle of the top. It really looks lovely on you. I wish I could wear that colour but I've been told it washes me out so I have to avoid it. The jewellery is beautiful – I'm off to check out Lily and Rose right now!!

Ah, thank you Suzy. I know exactly what you mean. The shade or tone needs to be right. As I said, I'm so fair that it's easy to look insipid which is why I add stronger accssories. The Lily and Rose jewellery is sooooo pretty xxxx

Thank you so much. I love mixing different types and styles of accessories xxx
I'm a huge fan of rose gold, nude and peach too – they're so flattering to pale skin tones aren't they? The sequinned tunic is very classy, as are the tux trousers, but my heart belongs to these beautiful shoes! I love, love, love them x
