Last month I wore a cream midi dress with a pair of butterfly tattoo tights. The outfit proved to be extremely popular and was one of the most viewed blog posts this year. I have another pair which need only simplest of dresses to show them off. They have a whole flock of beautiful butterflies fluttering up one leg and I think they’re absolutely stunning. They’re an inexpensive way of adding interest to a dress much like a statement piece of jewellery does. Designed and handmade in Ireland from premium materials, they can be hand-washed and worn over and over.
You may recognise this lovely shelter from my previous blog post. These photographs were taken at the same time along with some of a third outfit. I know for sure that I’m not the only fashion blogger who’s quite adept at getting fully changed in the back seat of the car knowing that a certain set of criteria for blog photographs can be met. In this case, the forecast of a dry, sunny day, the presence of a patient and willing photographer and a spare hour.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I posted a picture of some jewellery given to me over the years from my paternal grandmother. She died peacefully last week after a short illness. She was almost 89 and had a wonderful life and earlier this year, she and my grandfather celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. We are of course sad, but very grateful that most of our extended family had the privilege of saying goodbye, knowing how poorly she was. My grandad is coping very well and took comfort knowing that received excellent care when she was in hospital.
Yesterday was also a little emotional, but for very happy reasons, because one of my cousins on my mum’s side of the family had a beautiful wedding blessing. It was simply perfect and the sun shone all day. I’ll be blogging about my outfit for that soon.
Tomorrow, (Monday), I’m going to London for a blogger meet which I’m very much looking forward to so because I’ll be away all day, I won’t be publishing a blog post as I do usually on Tuesday. Instead, I will post one one Wednesday which co-incide with my blog’s third birthday. How time flies!
Love Liz x
