Navy stripes are never far away in Spring Summer and and this dipped hem shirt with its nod to the nautical brings with it a daydream of warm sunshine and sparkling sea. I love the unusual shape and how it hangs. The longer hemline at the back, coupled with the dropped shoulder and wide sleeves give it an informality and a rather carefree feeling and one that is different that of a classic breton.
It’s by Kaleidoscope, (as is the gorgeous navy and white prom dress that I’m wearing in my profile pictures), and you may have seen the #SoakItUp tv advert featuring the highlights of their summer collection, from which I have a few more items ready for my own summer holiday.
My clutch is made from the softest leather and is in a beautiful shade of red. It is large enough to fit the essentials including an iPad mini and the wrist strap makes it a very practical choice.
Mixing stripes and animal print is probably my favourite pattern cocktail and the patent leather leopard print mid-heeled shoes and the diamantes that adorn my wrap bracelet add a subtle touch of shine and sparkle to the ensemble.
Love Liz x

I love this whole outfit – the shirt is just fabulous! I am also a fan of stripes and animal print too – I have just had my leopard heels reheeled again as they get worn so much x
Ah, thank you so much Bee. Yes, I think leopard works as a neutral so wear it a lot. Ooh, it's good that you've had so much wear out of your own leopard shoes that they needed reheeling. Fabulous! xxx
Liz, you should be modelling for Kaleidoscope! Having looked at the prom dress and today's shirt on their website they look much better on you. Love your styling.
Oh thank you so much, that's very kind and very flattering! xxx
I agree with Liz above; they look better on you than on the website! You've got a lovely bright look to usher in Spring, and it IS refreshing to see something besides a Breton tee these days! xx
Thank you Lisa. Yes, I love stripes, Bretons in particular but the shirt is a nice variation xxxxx
I love the loose fit of that top!

Thank you very much Abi. Yes, it's very easy to wear xxxxx
This is something I would totally wear and dig! So my style and in fact I might have even worn something similar to it. I do love the top and how it falls. So beautiful and looks magnificent on you! Would love if you can link up to http://the-wardrobe-stylist.com/2016/04/17/diy-brazilian-hair-extensions/
Hi, thank you so much. The top does drape beautifully yes. I'd love to link up- I'll do that right now! Thank you xxx
Love, love, love this look. I would never think to pair a nautical style top with leopard heels but this so works! I do love a stripe – and that red bag – J'ADORE! #brillblogposts xx
Aw, thank you so much. I always like leopard print is a neutral so mix it with anything and everything! xxx
Love love love this, anything with leopard is a win in my book. Being short bf jeans always look wrong on me but maybe I could dress them up with heels, this looks great! #Brillblogposts
Thank you! Yes, I agree about the leopard and think it works with pretty much everything. Yes, try boyfriend jeans with heels and see what you think. It's a look I'm wearing more and more and am definitely preferring bf jeans to skinnies of late xxxxxxxxx
Totally freakin' adorable, Liz! Love the stripes with the leopard.
Thanks so much for being a part of Fun Fashion Friday!

LOVE nautical strips, I can't get enough of them at the moment, I look in my wardrobe and its like stripe heaven. Hadn't thought about mixing with animal print, what a fab idea – need to get organised with some leopard print pumps (no heels for me my preschooler is to speedy!) #brillplogposts
Oh I'm the same. I love stripes. Haha! Yes, heels and preschoolers probably don't go hand in hand but some pumps would be great! My youngest has just turned 13 so it seems a long time since I ran after my children! xxx
I love the striped and leopard mixed together. Really cute outfit!

Thank you so much Karen. I love putting leopard print with anything and everything! xxxx
I am a huge fan of a striped top/shirt. They are always so classic especially in a blouse. I must say your blouse is the best striped blouse I have seen. Paired with leopard is fabulous, especially if you add red to the mix. Your clutch and bracelets are so pretty, Lizzy. Your hair looks fab, too. =))
