Hello and happy Friday. I hope those of you with children are enjoying the Easter holidays. I certainly am, and although, my teens are becoming ever more independent, I love the extra time together the school holidays afford us.
Regular readers know that I’m a huge fan of Boden, but unusually for me, I didn’t invest in any of the new collection at the start of the season. One reason is that I fear my clothes, in particular my dresses, are becoming a little predictable. I’m happy with my style. I know what suits me and what doesn’t, what’s me and what isn’t. But, my blog has made me aware of a lot hitherto unknown brands and it’s exciting trying new styles and ranges. This was proved perfectly last week when I wore a jacket in bright orange, a colour I wouldn’t normally wear. I absolutely loved it and that post has been one of the most popular this month.
When the Boden mid-season started, I looked properly for the first time and found some hidden gems which I blogged about in a post which proved not only popular but which also managed to persuade me to order this slogan sweatshirt and the denim shirt dress.
The sweatshirt comes in a grey colour way with a different slogan as well as in this denim blue colour with writing in gold foil. I predict that it will become a firm favourite for casual days with pumps or perhaps my beloved nude pink Chelsea boots. However yesterday, I teamed it with my Yull Chartwell heels. This was in part because I absolutely adore them and also because I have a beautiful new mustard yellow hobo bag by Ilex London that I wanted to use and that matches perfectly. I’m particularly excited about it because I won it in a competition hosted by my lovely fellow blogger, Gemma, of Jacquard Flower via her Instagram account. I love yellow and in the conversation that followed with Gemma I told her that I do in fact have a yellow car. Do take a look at her blog. She has a varied wardrobe and everything is super-stylish.
I think my Danon double stars ring in matt gold is my current favourite from Lizzy O. Do sign up for my monthly newsletter (between the Instagram pictures and the popular posts in the sidebar of my blog when viewing on desk top and tablet versions) because every month, I’ll be giving an exclusive discount or offer to use at Lizzy O, valid for two weeks after receipt of the newsletter.
Have a lovely weekend and I’ll be back on Sunday.
Love Liz x

what a great outfit for Spring! Absolutely love it, you look fab (as always) – Mel x
Gorgeous outfit! I love the navy and mustard combo; the new bag is lovely. Well, I took the plunge and ordered the sweatshirt yesterday! After reading the reviews, I sized down, as my usual size was out of stock, so fingers crossed it works out! I managed to grab an extra 20% off the sale price, too! 🙂 xxx

A nice casual look but with very elegant and nice touches. Bag and shoes are cuties.
Shoes TO DIE FOR! They are absolutely gorgeous Liz. Navy and mustard make such a stylish statement, and you wear those colours beautifully!
