Hello, I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend.
My children and I stayed Sunday night at my parents’ home and it feels like I’ve been away on a mini holiday. My mum’s cooking on Sunday and lunch out yesterday meant I had a welcome break from cooking and I’m now looking forward to spending some time with my children during their school holiday, interspersed of course with work and blogging
Thank you very very much to all of you who voted for me in the Aspire Style blogger challenge. I’m absolutely thrilled to say that I won!
Aspire Style are kindly offering readers of my blog a 10% discount with the code LIZZY10, so do go and take a look.
In the challenge I wore this Jolie Moi vintage style floral midi skirt with a simple long-sleeved black top, a bright yellow necklace and orange shoes. Despite the decidedly un-springlike weather on Easter Sunday I wore it with a soft pink top, an aqua short-sleeved cardigan, (that I first wore almost 13 years ago at my brother’s wedding), and my beyond gorgeous peachy pink brogues. The blustery conditions afforded me a Marilyn moment and showed the fullness of the skirt off beautifully.
My mum brought these daffodils on Saturday when we celebrated my daughter’s birthday. They are so cheerful and for me they epitomise the optimism and promise of the new season.
Love Liz x

Thank you so much. I'm not sure about it myself!!! I loved it at the time and like every individual element, but I think there might be too much going on?
The brogues are divine though. I love them. They're so comfy and so so pretty. Have a lovely weekend and hugs to you too xxxxx
so cute. i love the watercolor print of the skirt and the mix of feminine and masculine with the soft colors and the shoes.

You carry off those soft colours beautifully! And that skirt suits you to utter perfection. I'm so glad you had a lovely Easter weekend and got a little bit spoiled – you absolutely deserve it.

Thank you Michelle. I'm really not sure if I like the whole ensemble now! I love every individual piece but I don't know if to a bit too much all together? I do love the skirt so much and the brogues too though. And yes, a lovely Easter weekend and nice to have a day or two off the cooking! xxxx
Look wonderful, just wonderful. The skirt is really gorgeous, and the rest of the look, combining the two tones, pale pink and light blue, it's fantastic. The shoes are gorgeous, and flowers help to complete a great outfit. Congratulations, you look really beautiful and elegant.
Thank you so much Josep-Maria. You're very kind. The skirt is so beautiful yes and the colours in it are divine xxxxxx
