Skirts are not something I have many of, mainly because I love dresses and find them so easy to style. A pair of shoes and a few well-chosen accessories and I’m good to go. So when I was invited to choose an item to take part in a blogger style challenge hosted by Aspire Style, I decided upon this stunning floral midi skirt by Jolie Moi.
It’s a flattering A-line shape with front pockets and an exposed zip at the back. The pattern, which reminds me of a Monet, has a lot of different colours in, enabling easy co-ordination. A simple black top along with shoes in orange, the colour of the season and a bright yellow statement necklace make the citrussy colours pop, but I’m envisaging it with a blush pink top and nude shoes later in the season.
I have a lot of shoes and these are by Mulberry, one of my few designer pairs. The devil is in the detail and I love the iconic Postman’s Lock fastening as well as the quilted leather. Despite the height of the heel, they are incredibly comfortable and the bright orange is surprisingly versatile, complimenting a lot of different colours. I have worn them with a green and blue geometric patterned shirt dress and with a cobalt blue tunic dress, cobalt and orange being a particular colour-combo of mine.

Oh I love love love the print on this skirt. It's so unique — almost like an oil painting sort of print but much fresher! So perfect for spring.

I love the skirt, and I especially love it on you! This is such an elegant take on a floral. If more florals were this beautiful, I'd wear them! Gorgeous, Lizzie xx
Thank you so much Lisa. It is a very elegant floral and easy to wear with it being on a skirt rather than all over on a dress. The print is even more beautiful in real life xxx

This skirt is stunning and I love the whole look! I don't really do skirts, but I really need to get a couple to style; they are really versatile in the way that you can create numerous looks with them. xxx
