Unusually for me I have had two consecutive nights out, both very different and both full laughter.
On Thursday evening, I went to my friend Sally’s house, along with rest of our close group of friends. It is somewhat of a tradition and for the past eight years, Sally, Annemarie or I have hosted it. At this busy time of year, it’s a lovely way to catch up and to have a few glasses of fizz and a mince pie or two. We have a Secret Santa game which causes much hilarity and is one we never tire of.
I wore an LBD which I wore quite recently to my goddaughter’s 18th birthday party, but with different accessories.
The dress offers two ways of wearing it. The subtly embellished top can be removed to reveal a simple neckline. (It’s by Dickins and Jones at House of Fraser and at the time of writing it is reduced to half price, £62.50 from £125). It’s a lovely dress and one I know I’ll continue to wear over and over, the simple style lending itself to being accessorised in several different ways.
On this occasion, it was the tights that did the talking.
From My Stockings, they are sheer black with polka dots and with black detail around the thigh. This detail makes them look more attractive and with the allure more like that of stockings or hold-ups.
My multi-coloured glittery Mary-Janes are from last winter and along with the matching clutch, add sparkle to any outfit.
Do take a look at my Instagram feed. I post extra pictures and outfits along with other things that make me happy. Last night I went out for my work Christmas party and have posted sneak peek of my outfit- a rather fabulous dress- which I’ll write about tomorrow.
Love Liz x
