I had a lovely last night with two friends who I met post-natally when each of our daughters was just a few weeks old. Fourteen years, a second child each and two house moves later, they remain two of my closest friends and it’s always an absolute joy to meet up with them when I’m back in my home town of Preston where they both live.
We went for Italian Tapas (which was definitely different to antipasti or Spanish tapas) and caught up properly on the last few months’ worth of news.
My dress is new and is a sale purchase from a few weeks ago. I have a lot of tunic dresses. They are very versatile and can be worn with flats, heels, ankle boots or wedges. This particular dress could also be teamed with black opaque tights for the cooler months.
As always, I was attracted by the broderie anglaise and I particularly like the nude under-layer.
I started with a glass of Prosecco…
…and finished with the most delicious chocolate and salted caramel tart.
