As my slightly dishevelled hair, (it was fine until I stepped outside), and the ground will attest, it’s been raining and it feels nothing like the middle of summer.
I’ve recently been drawn to soft pink and blush shades, perhaps because it hasn’t really been sunny enough for the traditional summer whites and brights. These soft shades are feminine, romantic and delicate.
This lace top from Mandy’s Heaven is the perfect combination of all of the above. I’ve layered it over a lace-edged vest in a very similar shade. It would look equally nice over a white vest and would look great with denim shorts and flat sandals.
The style is quite unusual and like nothing else in my wardrobe. I absolutely love it, especially the asymmetric hemline.
The vest top underneath has a beautiful lace edge. I folded it under so the lace of the outer top wasn’t competing. This layering vest is long enough to tuck in and pretty enough to wear alone or under a cardigan or wrap.
