This is one of my favourite dresses. The fact the beautiful print is in my favourite combination of navy and yellow meant it had little else to do really, but the swishy skirt, the flattering empire line and the pretty neckline combine to make it one of the most romantic and feminine dresses I own. I wore it yesterday- Easter Sunday, for a family lunch at my parents’ home and my 88 year old grandmother said I looked “ooh la la”. This Fever London dress is named Provence, so she might have been on to something there.
I associate it with happy memories too. I wore it last summer for a fantastic evening of dancing at my friend’s 50th birthday ceilidh, and it was the winning entry in a competition in which I styled it with my Champagne Glitter Jimmy Choos.
I’m not one to believe in superstition, but, somehow, this dress feels lucky.
