Today has been another busy Saturday. It’s my daughter’s 14th birthday next week so she had some friends here last night for pizza, cake and a sleepover. It coincided with my son having his friend to stay too so I had responsibility for seven young people. They are all an absolute joy though and I think I enjoyed it as much as they did. My daughter’s friends read my blog and follow me on social media-a huge compliment in itself, but if that wasn’t enough, they also invited me to be in their group selfies. I was very, very flattered.
This morning started by clearing up the aftermath, (although my daughter made a great start), followed by a few hours with my friend and business partner Sally with our pop-up accessories shop at a Spring Fair.
This afternoon I made my daughter’s birthday cake, popped to the supermarket for a few extras and brought the “emergency chairs” in from the garage in preparation for her family party tomorrow when there will be 12 in total.
Despite nobody in the house getting to sleep before the small hours, the girls and I were awake early, helped I’m sure by the glorious spring sunshine.
Even though it’s still a little chilly- I did put a jacket on- it was lovely being out and about today.
My shoes are the Lola by Zapita (for whom I’m a brand ambassador following a meeting with the wonderful company owner Nicola Renshaw last year) and without exception they draw compliments every time I wear them. They are also incredibly comfortable and beautifully made.
My necklace is the rather splendidly named Fantasia Azure Blue Aurora Borealis Crystal Rondelle Tassel Necklace and is part of the Moda collection at Eternal Collection. Moda takes inspiration from the latest trends with contemporary designs from the world of high fashion costume jewellery.
There is an array of beautiful pieces and I was spoiled for choice when I was invited to select something.
The stunning azure colour caught my eye, but I must confess too that one of my dreams is to see the Northern Lights, so the name also appealed.
As with all Eternal jewellery it arrived in lovely packaging.
The blue crystals along with the handmade ceramic beads shimmer and catch the light beautifully and it really twinkled in the sunshine today.
