I had a perfect day today, a day out and a beautiful home cooked lunch- always a treat.
My dress is from last year and it’s another that can be worn throughout the year. I wore sheer tights and ankle boots today but I have worn it with black opaques in colder weather and with bare legs and sandals when it’s warmer.
In a touch of role reversal, my (almost 14 year old) daughter voiced her concerns this morning that it is too short. Looking at these photographs, I must admit that I think she’s right. I forget how high the boots are and therefore the difference they make to the length. I perhaps should add that I’m almost 5’9″ so things do tend to err on the short side.
My daily plea with her to roll her school skirt down so to resemble a skirt rather than a pelmet still fell on deaf ears though. Of course.
I love the vibrant, almost neon digital floral print.
And along with Socks today, is Henrietta eating her breakfast in the background.
My black velvet jacket and ankle boots have been invaluable over these last few months. I have worn them countless times and have found them to be the most useful two items in my wardrobe.
