Outfit Post: Brocade Maxi Skirt and Skull Clutch

Introducing Leigh, a new mother and sister-in-law of Sally and John, whose wedding we attended on Saturday.

I’ve met her a few times and I now consider her to be a friend.

I adore the outfit she wore. She looked so stunning that I asked if she’d mind me writing about it. I was thrilled when she agreed, so between the wedding ceremony and the evening party, we had an impromptu photoshoot on Skipton High Street!

I love how Leigh’s edgy McQueen inspired skull clutch contrasts with the beautifully feminine brocade style skirt.

The skirt is the Elfina Maxi Skirt, current season from Monsoon.

Leigh is 5ft 5 inches tall and had the skirt shortened slightly.

Love Liz x

Leigh looks absolutely stunning! I love this post and I adore her take on a wedding outfit – so much more current and modern than a lot of the looks that I've seen in ages. Could be tempted to squirrel a skirt like that in my wardrobe for when there is a need!

Wow – thanks to all for your very kind comments. I love this skirt – it's an investment in my winter wardrobe too, think it'll come into it's own for Christmas festivities – thanks again, Leigh

It is a beautiful skirt Leigh and you wear it with such style. I'm looking forward to seeing how you wear it over Christmas. Will you send photos and I'll share them here on the blog again? Live Liz xxx
