Le Grand Depart: Tour de France 2014

Yesterday, the sun shone and the whole of Skipton was filled with spectators as the Tour de France came through our little town.
The atmosphere was amazing and I felt incredibly lucky to witness the largest sporting event in the world here on my doorstep.

The three leaders…

Followed a few minutes later by the rest of the pack

It’s such a shame that Mark Cavendish crashed just before the finish. His dislocated shoulder means he cannot take part in the rest of the race.
Good luck to the rest of the British boys.

Love Liz x
