Striped Top, Thistle Scarf and Muck Boots

Have I mentioned that I love autumn? And did you know I'm partial to a striped top and a scarf in a contrasting pattern? I have several breton style tops and rather more than several scarves but I find it takes a lot of thought out of everyday dressing to have a selection of well-made basic tops in a variety of colours which can be thrown on with jeans easily and readily accessorised. My top is another from Tulchan (which I wrote about in a little more detail when I wore their grey spotted raincoat a few weeks ago). Their striped tops are double faced and are incredibly soft and keep their shape beautifully after being washed. They're slim enough to be worn under another layer but warm enough to hold their own, especially in the beautiful weather we've had just lately. They come in an array of colours and I'm looking forward to adding to my collection as more colours are introduced next season.

The thistle scarf is absolutely beautiful. It's large so can be used as a wrap, but not bulky and because it is made of fine wool, it's very warm too. The thistle design is gorgeous and I love the colours in it.

I haven't worn my Danon Swarovski crystal set bee bangle for a while, instead wearing the t-bracelet version more frequently. Both of course are available from my accessories website and I love them equally. There are a lot more bangles which look fab when stacked together.

As enjoyable as it is standing on the sidelines on a Sunday morning watching my son play football, it can get bitingly cold and the harsh winters here in North Yorkshire necessitate warm, waterproof footwear. These Muck Boots are incredibly warm for wellies, (which I often find offer little warmth). They're beautifully made and are a valuable addition to my arsenal of practical, (yet stylish), outdoorsy essentials.

  1. You can NEVER go wrong with a country look Liz - it suits the English countryside (and YOU) so well! The wellies look really lovely and comfy - I often find them too stiff but these look flexible (are they)? Fab scarf too, so pretty!! :)
