A Leopard Print Jacket, Shades of Grey and Black Chelsea Boots

In a recent post showcasing  my favourite pieces from the latest Marks and Spencer collection, I mentioned that I also got a pair of black leather Chelsea boots. Well, here they are along with the leopard jacquard jacket that is already becoming an autumn wardrobe staple. It shows how the very simplest of outfits can be transformed by throwing a statement jacket or coat over the top. This was last weekend and I was very casually attired when my daughter asked if I fancied popping out for a coffee and a look round the shops. Rather than get changed, I grabbed the jacket (and my camera of course), pulled my boots on and off we went! You may remember that I wore it with skinny jeans and ballerinas for a girly lunch a week or so ago in which it took on a slightly smarter role.

The Danon bee jewellery is still up there with my favourite every day pieces. It's set with a Swarovski crystal and has matching items available including a bangle and the necklace below, (which I am wearing but forgot to photograph!) Of course, these are available from my own website, Lizzy O.

The black leather Chelsea boots are incredibly comfortable and made from the softest leather. They benefit from Insolia so are soft and supportive underfoot and they simply pull on. I like the chunky sole and heel and the touch of androgony they add. As with most Marks and Spencer footwear, they are available in half sizes. If you're between two, I'd recommend the larger size, just so thicker socks or tights can be accommodated when the temperatures dip.

  1. Haaaa leopard print ! Use to hate it ... Until I try and adopt it definitely ... I wear this week that beautiful skirt of mine for the week contest at work (we do funny challenges : your shoes are superhero ; let's be wild, 70's show ...). This week was leo !!

    1. Oh wow! That sounds great fun at your work and I bet you looked adorable in your leopard skirt x

  2. Now that's how to make a casual outfit look fabulous, Liz - that jacket will make anything look amazing (you and I had a similar theme going on this week)!! Those boots look super comfy, too... I haven't owned any Chelsea boots in ages, I'd forgotten how timeless they are! Still loving this edgier look on you :)

    1. Thank you so much Catherine. Yes, it's great having a "go-to" jacket isn't it. I love Chelsea boots- always have so I knew I'd wear these a lot. They're very well made and very comfy. Thank you for the compliment about a slightly edgier look. It's funny how one's style evolves isn't it. I must be feeling more "go-getting" and determined!! xxx

  3. Lizzy, you know I love the leopard jacket! Love the silloutte with the grey skinny jeans! I love grey jeans, going to have to take my pair out soon. Looks fabulous with those ankle booties too!
