Outfit: Floral Top with Aqua Cardigan and Graphite Jeans

It's the start of the Easter Holidays and the weather is changeable to say the least. I wore this outfit yesterday when it started off wet and windy so requiring jeans and boots,  yet, I'm keen to maintain momentum with my spring wardrobe. I don't have many cardigans in my closet but this new one in a delicate shade of aqua meant I could wear this beautiful printed tee again without completely freezing.

And I opted for my grey double leather Pandora bracelet with charms to compliment the colours in my top.

Party Outfit: Boden Eliza Printed Tunic and Boden Alice Heels

It was my friend Sally's 50th birthday earlier this week and last night was her party.

I wore my silk Eliza Tunic Dress which I wore previosuly in mid-February with opaque tights and ankle boots

..and even though it was a windy day, I wanted it to look more spring like so wore it with sheer tights and the Boden Alice heels.

It was a brilliant evening. Sally is incredibly well loved and had about 40 guests, all girls, at her home for lots of laughter and a not insignificant amount of chat and gossip...

...Oh, and rather a lot of Prosecco, though we left when the night was still quite young.

Outfit: Geometric Print Shirt Dress with Orange Shoes

It was an unexpectedly sunny day today so it seemed a good opportunity to wear this beautiful shirt dress.
It's the sort of dress that's very versatile. Demure enough for the office perhaps, yet I can imagine wearing it with wedge sandals and a denim jacket. The fabric is a soft drapey jersey- very fluid, which swishes when sashaying along.
I think there is something of the 1940s about the shape, so I wore it my my rather fabulous orange quilted Mulberry shoes which also, I think, have a nod to that era.

The geometric floral pattern in green and bright blue stands out against the navy background without shouting.

The quirky camera necklace always draws comment and compliments and seems perfect for a blogger!

Despite the height of the heel, my shoes are incredibly comfortable and the quilted leather is very soft and tactile. They're by Mulberry and have the iconic Postman's Lock fastening. I appreciate that bright orange shoes might not be to everyone's taste but I absolutely love them.

Outfit: Mint Green Jumper with Daisy Scarf plus a Look at Easter Gifts for the Home

After yesterday's beautiful spring sunshine, we awoke to sleet here in Skipton and some of the villages higher up in the Dales had a significant amount of snow. Although this isn't unusual for the end of March, it does feel too late in the year for such weather. So, it was back to full length jeans as opposed to yesterday's ankle skimming versions, although because I have rolled these up I'm questioning the difference.

I was working on the latest issue of Aspire Magazine for most of the day, but did pop out to run a few errands which necessitated a jumper and a scarf. They're in shades pertinent to the season though, so negating a little of the wintry feel the day had imparted.

The jade daisy scarf from my boutique is such a stunning colour and it compliments the mint green of my jumper and bag beautifully.

I love accessorizing my home as much as I do my outfits and have quite a lot of Easter decorations. My friend Suzannah has a beautiful range in her online shop Good to be Home.

Outfit: Dragonfly Print Top, Tweed Jacket and Metallic Brogues

Today is my friend Sally's 50th birthday. We met at the school gate almost 10 years ago and although we were always been good friends, we have become closer than ever over the last year. Along with her husband John, she has been a constant source of support, advice and tea. With the occasional cake and glass of Prosecco thrown in.

Since her last birthday she has got married (20 years and three children later, she decided to say yes to John)...

... and four months after the wedding celebrated with a surprise hen party that Annemarie and I had gleefully planned.

She is having a party on Saturday which we are all incredibly excited about, but today, Annemarie and I called in to see her before her family arrived for lunch.

It was another beautiful mild sunny morning so once again I only needed a blazer. In honour of the sunshine, I wore my ankle-skimmers- only a slight change from my ubiquitous skinny jeans but one which I feel is moving in the direction of spring.
My Ted Baker top is around 5 years old and is adorned with dragonflies. The ruffled neckline is so pretty.

And it is the third year I have been wearing these soft leather metallic brogues.

I opted for soft, feminine pinks for my Pandora bracelet today in keeping with the softness of my top.

And because friendship is a two way street, we decided we could not let our friend drink alone.
Something feels so right about enjoying a glass of fizz at 10.30am...

Happy Birthday Sally. Thank you for being the best friend a girl could wish for.

I can't wait until Saturday...

Love Liz x
