Daydreaming: Of Living by the Sea.

As a relative newcomer to the Yorkshire Dales, having moved to North Yorkshire from Lancashire ten years ago, I am still in awe on the stunning scenery here on my doorstep. Hills, valleys, huge star-filled skies, miles and miles of drystone walls and iconic landmarks such as Malham Cove never fail to stop me in my tracks.
I absolutely love it here.

Equally though, I love the coast and have had several beautiful days out throughout the year.

Formby Beach

...and Crosby Beach, both in Merseyside were introduced to me earlier this year and I've fallen in love with the whole area.

I just feel so happy there.

My children and I enjoyed a wonderful week away in Woolacombe, Devon at the end of July. The beaches there are stunning.

I love taking my shoes and socks off and walking along the shore.

Sitting and watching the sun setting over the sea feels magical and I daydream of perhaps living by the sea one day.

An although retirement seems a very long way off, perhaps now is the time to start planning for my future so that maybe, just maybe, this daydream can become a reality.
