Today has been a day spent doing what we came here to do. Walk, talk, have fun on the beach and enjoy each other's company.
It was still a little windy and not really warm enough for shorts, but it was mainly dry and the sun put in a very welcome appearance.
We took a leisurely stroll along the length of Woolacombe Beach after breakfast, where we saw a seagull with attitude...
...and a beach hut with my name on.
This view looks towards the centre of Woolacombe.
And this is going in the opposite direction.
My son was keen to repeat sprint races from our last holiday here when there was nothing between us.
What a difference two years makes.
I was only "a little" dishevelled afterwards.
At the end of Woolacombe Beach is Putsborough Beach where there is a small cafe, the perfect place for a light lunch, after which we strolled back again.
Precious, precious times.
We'll all take such happy memories from today.
