Outfit Post: Broderie and Zebra

I had a lovely time last night/this morning. My parents, brother and sister-in-law and two of my most wonderful friends came for supper.
There was a lot of laughter, a few tears, copious fizz and the most delicious chocolate torte made by my sister-in-law Katey.

I wore this gorgeous broderie top for the first time along with my fabulous Zapita zebra shoes.
My bracelet is by Lovelinks- another bracelet on which charms can be added and swapped as required.

Days Out: Central London

I've had a fabulous and much appreciated two day break in London with my children and my parents. The weather was mostly wet and very grey but it didn't stop us making the most of every minute there.

On our first day, my Dad and my son had a tour of Wembley Stadium. I don't know which of them was more excited.
My mum and daughter hit Oxford Street for some window shopping.
Our day finished with supper in Planet Hollywood in a very wet Leicester Square.

We went on the Docklands Light Railway to the Emirates Sky Ride (I'd highly recommend this) which took us by cable car over to the O2 Arena where we had lunch. Then we went on a boat to Greenwich to see the Cutty Sark before boating back to the London Eye and the aquarium.

Isn't our capital city stunning?

Outfit Post: Butterfly Maxi Dress

I love prints especially those inspired by nature. The butterflies on this maxi dress are so beautiful.
It's the sort of dress that's as happy with a pair of flip flops as it would be dressed up for a wedding or special occasion.
The white and black spotted scarf is from my boutique.

Outfit: Breton Stripes with a Bicycle Scarf

Another day, another scarf!

This bicycle print scarf is one of my favourite designs from my "boutique" and actually, with Le Tour de France visiting Yorkshire very soon, it seems a timely design.

The boutique is in partnership with my friend Sally, whose daughters go to the same school as my son. She had a pop-up scarf shop "Simply Scarves" on Facebook last year and very kindly invited me to join forces with her. We've now changed the name to "What Lizzy Loves Boutique" for simplicity.
Thank you to everyone who has visited so far.

Doesn't it make a difference to a simple outfit? (And they're large enough to use as a sarong too).

Outfit Post: Stripes, Spots and Butterflies.

I wore this outfit yesterday and have realised that it's another stripe and leopard combo, albeit a more casual version.
I've said many times how much I love nautical inspired fashion and this breton dress has more than a nod to this trend.
I love the red zip at the back and the little pockets with brass buttons.
And the anchor pendant seemed appropriate, not least because of the little card that came with it.

And adding one more print, but in tones of blue, here is one of the scarves available in my boutique. They cost just £10 with free delivery (£2.95 delivery to the rest of the world)
